How to Delegate Editor Access to Your Google Analytics Account to [email protected]

If you're a client of Strictly and need to delegate editor access to your Google Analytics account to [email protected], this help article will guide you through the process. Granting editor access allows the Strictly team to perform management tasks, set up goals, and configure settings, providing you with more tailored recommendations and support. Here’s how you can set this up:

Step 1: Sign in to Google Analytics

Start by logging into your Google Analytics account. Visit the Google Analytics website and sign in with your credentials.

Step 2: Access Admin Settings

Once logged in, navigate to the "Admin" section located in the lower left corner of your Google Analytics dashboard. This area allows you to manage account settings, property settings, and view settings.

Step 3: Select Account and Property

In the Admin section, you will see three columns: Account, Property, and View. Click on the “Account” column and choose the account you want to grant access to. Then, select the appropriate property under the “Property” column.

Step 4: Manage Users

Under the "Account" column, click on “Account User Management.” If you need to grant access at the property level, click on “Property User Management” under the "Property" column instead. This decision depends on the level of access you wish to provide.

Step 5: Add Permissions

Click on the blue “+” button, then select “Add users.” Enter the email address [email protected] in the email address field.

Step 6: Assign Permissions

You will be prompted to assign permissions. Check the box for “Edit,” which includes permissions to add and modify data, as well as manage other users. This is necessary for Strictly to have the ability to fully manage and configure the account as needed.

Step 7: Notify Strictly

After granting the permissions, continue filling out your onboarding form and confirm you have granted access.

Final Step: Review and Confirm

Review all settings to make sure they are correct, then click “Add.” Google Analytics will now send an invitation to [email protected] to accept the user permissions.

By following these steps, you can successfully share or delegate editor access to your Google Analytics account with [email protected], enabling the Strictly team to assist you more effectively with advanced analytics and management tasks.
